Evening drawing
A series of relaxed bi weekly sessions. We will be drawing from life using varied subject matter, and participants will be encouraged to dismiss preconceptions around what drawing should be and be open to experimental, playful approaches to mark making. Letting go of the idea that work needs to be finished, correct or ‘Art’ and seeing drawing as a way to learn about the nature of our environments and an exercise in really looking. This can lead to a building of confidence in your own personal approach and a chance to try new approaches. To look better, and ultimately draw better.
Whether a beginner or an experienced artist, we approach sessions from a place of not knowing, With the aim that we will learn from each other.
Tea and homemade cake provided.
Materials
Please bring your sketchbook.
Larger paper, easels, drawing boards and drawing materials will be provided.

Monotype / drawing day course.
An opportunity for me to share my personal processes for making works on paper which will include:
DIY printmaking practice, using inexpensive materials and techniques that do not require a press.
Exploring the medium of monotype with an emphasis on varied mark making and drawing from feelings, memories and imagination.
Life drawing exercises, encouraging experimental, playful approaches and unlearning / rethinking the nature of drawing. Looking at ways of creating reference works for further printmaking.
Drawing into prints and a multilayered approach to creating work.
Whether a beginner or experienced artist. We take sessions from a place of not knowing, With the aim that we will learn from each other.
Please bring a packed lunch, tea and homemade cake provided.
